The Great Thinkers of Pre-Modern Western Philosophy

Aristotle and Socrates
Hello All!
With this journal I plan and doing a few things differently. First off, I will not be using it as an outlet for stress as I have found has become rather comonplace for me. Secondly I would like to formally anounce what I am doing for once before the fact, and ask that I get feedback. Before I make such an anouncement I would like to rant shortly about something that rather irks me as an artist.
I feel that so many people simply look at art here on deviantART, decide they like it, add it to their favories and then leave. As much as knowing that someone enjoys my art and my work fills me with the warm fuzzies inside I belive that there is something missing with this idea. I for one love comments. On my designs, my photos and my poems. Comments allow people to share wha they like about a particular piece but allow them to offer constructive critisism on what they think could be improoved upon next time. This not only benifits the artist but the others who view the art as well. I think that what it boils down to is lazieness. People, myself included like to fav and drop. Leaving no comments or critique about why they feel the particular peice of work stood out to them in any way, shape or form. This leads to another idea, why simply leave comments on the art that we enjoy? Maybe it would be prudent of us to leave comments, questions or constructive suggestions on some art that we may not particularly enjoy or not fully understand.
Alright, end of rant (that was rather more in depth than I had planned...) Anyway on to the anouncement that you have all most likely to have forgetten about since the beginning of this journal. Going off the title of this journal I believe that we all lack a basic ability of constant and vigilant constructive thinking. Now that I reflect upon the word for a moment, I believe that "Philosophical Thinking" would be a more prudent title for this process. That is why I am starting a new series of deviations "Human Introspections". Since art can be found anywhere in our lives, I believe that there is an art to proper philosophical thoght pocesses. In this new direction I plan to present thoughts and ideas that may challenge your thinking or give a new angle of thought to an idea that may be thought of as rather atypical.
With this series I encurage you all to think, reflect for a moment and then leave your comments, whatever they may be so that we may be able to generate discussion. In this series I believe that arguments and critical thinking to be critical to succsess and encurage all to please participate as much as you can!
With much thanks!
